Achtung! AMODA has grown up (somewhat)! So often we have gone to the things that have been organized under their banner to find just another party for the twenty something set. However, thanks to the planning and perseverance of one Hana Hillerova and the wonderful space that was once the Idea Gallery, Promise of Progress proves to be a 100% bona fide art exhibition. We're late in announcing this one - you've only got two more days!

Katy O' Conner makes some righteous looking paintings. The works seem to chronicle her friends' lives. Jessup's work seems to chronicle the life in his head. He makes some righteous looking drawings that are reminiscent of story book illustrations gone wrong.

Richard Avedon and Laura Wilson Lecture

Laura Wilson, photographer and author of "Avedon at Work: In the American West," will be joined by internationally acclaimed photographer Richard Avedon for a lecture at the University of Texas at Austin. They will discuss the book based on their experiences in the early 1980s taking portraits of ordinary people in the American West.
