For testsite 04.3, Austin-based artist Peat Duggins will transform the interior of testsite into an intimate reading room where he will exhibit twelve of his personal sketchbooks spanning from 1996 to the present. Never created with the intention to display, Duggins offers the testsite visitor a rare glimpse into both the process and sources that inspire his work as each book shifts between sketchbook, date-book, daily log and personal journal. Elizabeth Blackburn will present a journal of her writings composed over the course of a few weeks weaving from personal encounters with and reactions to the sketchbooks, discussions with the artist and other personal responses adding to the intimate nature inherent to this exhibition. Also on view will be a video portrait featuring Duggins in his studio by artist Dave Bryant.
